INTERIOR DESIGN | Case Study | Snow Creek
Private commision remodel of a bungalow in Palm Springs. This basic house remodel required some interior structural work as well as a feature element as a focus for social gatherings. After much consideration and suggestions from our design team, it was determined that a custom fireplace and chimney would be an ideal addition to the interior of this home. Below are some of the early concept stages, which help clients visualise what the end result will be.
Stage 1. Client Interview
As a single man, the main use for this property was intended to be social gatherings, dinner parties and occassional weekend garden parties. For this reason access to the back yard from the lounge area was an important consideration. It was also determined that a fireplace would be a strong masculine design feature, as well as make use of renewable fuel and decreases the reliance on energy companies - critical given the current energy crisis in California.
Stage 2. Conceptual Renderings
Our design team, taking into account the information gathered from the client interview, client likes and dislikes and of course budgeting limits.
